Exploring Hokkaido with Mio: A Journey through Sapporo, Hakodate, and Otaru
Sapporo
Odori Park and TV Tower: Mio visited Odori Park, admiring the seasonal events and beautiful flower beds. She enjoyed the view from the TV Tower, overlooking the city of Sapporo.
Sapporo Snow Festival: The Sapporo Snow Festival is one of Mio’s favorite events. She marveled at the giant snow and ice sculptures while sipping on a warm drink.
Sapporo Ramen Alley: Mio savored the rich flavors of miso ramen in Ramen Alley. “The hearty broth is perfect for a cold day!” she exclaimed with a smile.
Hakodate
Goryokaku Park and Tower: In Hakodate, Mio visited Goryokaku, a star-shaped fort, and was impressed by its history. She enjoyed the panoramic view from the tower.
Hakodate Mountain Night View: Taking the ropeway to the top of Hakodate Mountain, Mio experienced one of Japan’s top three night views. “This view alone is worth the trip to Hakodate,” she thought.
Morning Market Food Stalls: Mio explored Hakodate’s morning market, tasting fresh seafood like crab and sea urchin. “It’s such a treat to have this for breakfast!” she laughed.
Otaru
Otaru Canal: Mio strolled along Otaru Canal, enjoying the romantic scenery, especially when the gas lamps light up at night.
Otaru Music Box Museum: At the Music Box Museum, Mio found peace in the lovely melodies and bought a music box as a souvenir. “This tune will always remind me of this trip,” she said.
Sweets Tour: Known for its sweets, Otaru was a delight for Mio, who visited various confectionery shops to try cakes and parfaits. “This is heaven for anyone with a sweet tooth,” she declared.
