Messages of Peace and Rebirth

Next, Mio decided to visit Hiroshima in summer, a place of significant importance due to its historical background and aspirations for peace.

Arriving in the city, her first stop was the Peace Memorial Park. Standing in front of the Atomic Bomb Dome, Mio reflected on the tragedy of war and the subsequent efforts towards peace. Visiting the Peace Memorial Museum, she gained a deeper understanding of Hiroshima’s history and its messages of peace.

However, her journey in Hiroshima was not only focused on past sorrows but also on rebirth and hope. She visited Miyajima, moved by the beautiful scenery and mystical atmosphere of Itsukushima Shrine. The changing views with the tides seemed to symbolize the power of nature and the passage of time.

Experiencing Hiroshima’s culinary culture, Mio enjoyed the local delicacy, Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, relishing its taste and the city’s vibrancy. Through food, she gained a deeper understanding of the local lifestyle and culture.

Her time in summer Hiroshima taught Mio the importance of reflecting on history while building a positive future. The spirit of peace and rebirth in Hiroshima left a strong impression on her heart, bringing new inspiration to her art.
